It's Holiday Time, Already?

Wow, December is here already and the holidays are upon us again.  It is Creativity Project time.  The theme this month is "Holiday."  Well this is how my family and I celebrate.  First and foremost is to remember and acknowledge the reason for the Christmas season:  The birth of Jesus Christ.
                                                                     Luke 2:11 -
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

We also celebrate the fun and magic of Santa Clause.  There is great joy in watching the excitement and anticipation of the big guy coming to visit.  Sitting and wondering what little gifts might be under the tree this year.  Possibly a Barbie, an Easy Bake oven or a new bike.

Some of us enjoy a little rest by the fire.  A little nap or even roasting marshmallows make for a lovely holiday memory.
The Holidays are a great time in our family to capture a family photo of us all together.  Each year the image changes and the children mature and I cry when I look at the ones from years past.  I can't help it, I'm a softie in this area.
                                                               We enjoy playing games.
The little ones love waking up to find out where their little elf is sitting that day.  They enjoy giving him their Christmas lists and seeing if Maximus is up to any shenanigans.
I of course love to keep the home fires burning.
A Christmas door wreath is a must.  This one is extra special.  My good friend made it for me a few years ago at Christmas.  I laid in the bed and rested while she brought this beauty to life.
We enjoy having friends over for a little puzzle time.
We all love Hot Chocolate, especially with a bunch of yummy marshmallows.

Finally, I enjoy walking around this time of year, capturing the changes in nature and I occasionally get one of my kiddos to join me.  Holidays are a time to gather with family and friends and reflect on the love of Jesus, each other and the memories of the year, I hope this Christmas is filled with love, peace, happiness and good health to all of you. Keep warm!!
