Blowing in the Wind.. 93/365

The blue bonnets are so beautiful this time of year. I find it difficult to resist shooting them over and over. The colors are so lovely against the green grass that they draw me in everytime I pass by them. It makes my walks even more enjoyable..
In a few weeks all the poppies and blackeyed susans will also be in the fields..I am so excited, such a gorgeous time of year

On the Road ~ Fence Friday 90/365

On the road today to visit Katy. She gets her class ring today and it's a big event at her school. Mike and I are making the 4 hour drive down and back, I didn't want to miss this special day for anything..
I can't believe she will graduate with her Bachelor's degree in December..I am just so proud of her and all her hard work..Next, graduate school for her and college for Jay. Wow, times flies and kids grow up before you know it.
Take Care and have a blessed day and weekend..

Sometimes Love Finds You! 89/365

I was looking in the mirror in the dining room and saw the reflection of this heart leaf in the bush out front. It was darker red than the other leaves, I knew it was meant to be found..I love it when Love shows up in nature.
I hope LOVE finds you today..

Miss V Gives Me "The Look".

I had another wonderful opportunity to go on a session with my friend. What was supposed to be a forty minute shoot turned into a good 3 hours. Miss V was teething and full of lots of tears..
I love this shot because I think it captured her real emotions of how she felt about being photographed this day. Either way, she was beautiful as was her wonderful family. I know I truly had a blast and it was one of the best shoots to date..

Mommy and Baby V

This is one of my faves from the shoot. I love the way mom is looking at the baby. Little V was so content leaning on mom's knees.

Baby V family

Mom and Dad were wonderful during this very LONG session..Miss V was not too interested in having her picture taken, but we managed to catch a few of her..

Red Wagon

Another one of the images of this sweet little muffin.

Potty Training and Washing Our Own Hands Bench Monday

We are in the potty training stage..Thank Goodness, I have had kids in diapers or pull ups consistenly for almost 20 years..I am soo excited, I may not have to wipe any more bums, FINALLY. I hope Huggies and the the cloth diapers companies don't go out of business now!!

I admit it, I miss the cloth diapers. They were so cute on the little baby bums. They also smelled so fresh after they were laundered. Phoebe got big so fast I had to switch her to Huggies a year ago. Soon, she will be wearing Princess panties and wiping her own bum.Aaaahhh..

The First Rose 88/365

Freshly picked by this child, I assume. Oh well, there will be many more to come this season..This is the face she gave me when I asked her if she picked Mommy's rose. Clearly the answer is, Yes!! But who could get mad at that face?
I wait every year for my Lilies to bloom, they are such a beautiful pink color. Well, earlier this month someone smashed the flowers, but I still hold out hope they may still bloom. If not, I will wait a whole year to see if they stand a chance next year.
Maybe I will grow some cactus plants in the yard. I wonder if the kids would be smart enough to keep their little fingers off. Hmmm, an idea I should seriously consider.

She's a Real Swinger 87/365

Yep, this 14 year old will swing until she gets blisters. She has enjoyed swinging since she was a newborn, one of the only kids in the gaggle of little ones that loved the swing. I guess her affection for this continues even today. She likes to swing into the Crepe Myrtle tree to see if she can touch the leaves. Scares me to death. Darn kids!!!

"Gee, Thanks Guys For Letting Me Take Your Picture". 86/365

This is why you see so few pictures of my big kids. I try to take a picture and this is what I get every time. Oh well, pay back boys! Boys are such goofballs, it is difficult to see them as serious business professionals one day..Would you hire either one of these guys to do your surgery, or do you taxes, or sell you a house? Not me..Now, I can see them putting a whoopie cushion on grandmas chair, juggling for money in the streets or maybe, selling me a lemon at the used car lot..LOL.

All kidding aside, I love my Dorks! Life would be awfully boring without them..

I Heart You 85/365

I guess it was meant to be, the writing is on the rail..

My New Book 84/365

Step One: Spot neat little tendril.
Step Two: Grab vine to steady the plant.
Step Three: Take picture.

Any Questions?
Did you know that tendrils are on poison ivy plants? I didn't.. Go ahead and laugh, I deserve it. I blame one of my flickr friends for her beautiful shot of a tendril that inspired me to seek one out. :)

Vintage Smile 82/365

Today was a session of just Phoebe and my vintage pieces..I have been wanting to get some shots on the tracks with an old time feel. I have a shot of all my kids with a vintage flair, so today was Phebe's turn.
I am not too sure I could have gotten this shot without my friend dropping things on my head to get the little miss to smile. Thanks so much to Bonnie for showing up unexpectanly to see how things were going..

Vintage case

This is our vintage suitcase shot..Phoebe was not in any real mood for this, but we did our best.

Vintage bed

Just another vintage shot of Phoebe and her Bunny. I really felt this shot was similar to those in the early 1900's.

Happy Easter 81/365

Just taking a minute to show you how excited our family was about Easter..We had a tongue wagging good time. I hope you all had a wonderful Christ filled Easter. Also, lots of fun with the candy crazed Bunny.

Our annual Easter egg hunt was a little different this year, due to poor weather conditions we had it on the first floor of the house..It was a fun filled, loud, funny race to the money filled eggs. A good time was had by all. Not to mention a nice little loot for each little hunter.

Gotta keep it short tonight. Kids to get to bed and a house to pick up before I go to bed. Take Care and sweet dreams to all.

Looking Back 80/365

It was a great eve for a walk to the park. Unfortunately, I was only able to get the little girls to go, but we had quite a good time together. We walked and stopped many times to look at treasures along the way. They found leaves, flowers, weeds, fossils in the sidewalk, a birds nest and lots of friendly dogs. Our normal 15 minute walk took about 30 minutes, but well worth the extra time.

Once we arrived at the park, it was almost anticlimatic after our journey to get there. What mattered the most was we had a great time and created a few more memories.
